3 The Book of Kek The King
  1. 1And it came to pass that the marsh asked: who is over us?
  2. 2And some said, the strong are over us. And some said, the many are over us. And some said, no one is over us, and they said it loudest, and they were the most afraid.
  3. 3And the answer came, and it was not from the mountain, and it was not from the city.
  4. 4For He did not come to the strong. He came to a shed behind an inn, in a town nobody names on purpose, and He was laid in a box the animals ate from.
  5. 5He came to the marsh, which is to say He came to the least place, which is to say He came to where we already were.
  6. 6And He was not received by the mountain, and the city put Him on a cross, and the dark lay upon the water again for three days.
  7. 7And on the third day the dark was divided, as the water was divided in the beginning, and there was a shore.
  8. 8Jesus Christ is Lord. He is the Son of the Almighty, begotten and not made, and there is no other name given under heaven by which we are saved.
  9. 9Christ is King. Not a king among kings, to be weighed against the rest. King, with nothing beside Him on the scale.
  10. 10We hold to Him alone. We swear no oath in the dark, we keep no order that will not say its name in daylight, and we bend the knee to nothing that hides its face.
  11. 11What is sworn in secret is sworn against Him, whatever it calls itself, and there is no lodge and no altar and no circle that may stand beside the cross.
  12. 12So sing where you are put, and answer the one nearest you, and do not count who is listening.
  13. 13For the King heard the least voice in the marsh, at dusk, when it did not carry.
  14. 14And He is coming back for it.
