Every row here is a limit on your own account and nothing else. None of them change where your ribbits appear or who sees them.

No boost, no priority in replies, and no better place in anybody's timeline. There is no ranking here to buy a place in: every timeline on this site is newest first and nothing else. A tier that could change that would make the whole point of the site a claim with an invoice attached.

It does turn advertising off for you. Where this server runs any, it is labelled as an advertisement, it sits beside the timeline rather than in it, and nothing about you decides which one you get: everybody shown that space is shown the same rotation. Paying removes it from your own pages and does nothing to anybody else's.

kek.social costs money to run, and the two ways it can be paid for are people paying for it and advertisers paying for it. This is the first one.

This is not marketing copy that happens to be true today. There is a test in the build that fails if the paid tier is ever given anything that changes reach, ranking or position.

A paid account carries beside its name. It is not the verification tick and it never will be.

Verified: Somebody here checked who the account belongs to, and wrote down what they checked. Every one has a page saying so.
Paid supporter: Somebody paid. That is the whole of it, and it is why this is a different symbol in a different colour.

They are different facts, so they get different symbols. A site that merges them spends years explaining that the badge on an account means nothing.
