What Is Kept

Your account details, your ribbits, who you follow, what you liked and bookmarked, your messages, and a record of sign in attempts on your account. Every one of those is in the export at Settings, then Your Data.

What You Affirmed

What you turned on when you joined is kept: which statements you agreed to, the exact wording that was on screen, the date, and the address you were at. Where this server asks about belief, that answer is a record of your religious belief, and it is treated as the sensitive thing it is. It is never shown on your profile, never given to anybody outside this server, and is only read to decide whether you have been asked the current wording.

It is yours: it is in the same export as everything else, and it is deleted with your account rather than kept on afterwards. You gave it by turning on each statement separately, and nothing here was ticked for you.

Who Can See It

• Your ribbits are public unless your account is protected.
• Your email address, date of birth and sign in history are yours alone.
• Your mutes and blocks are yours alone, and the people involved are not told.
• An administrator of this server can read an account's details, and every time one does it is written to the audit log.

Sessions

Sign in tokens are stored as hashes, so somebody reading the database cannot become you with what they find in it. Every browser you are signed in on is listed at Settings, then Security, and you can end all the others from there.

Leaving

Deactivating hides your account and is reversible for thirty days by signing back in. After that it is deleted.
